A School for Creativity, Consciousness & Clarity

L E T T E R from Jac – Creating Space

I was talking with a dear friend Maryanne, about how creative people need space, to time, to ponder, to hone our craft. To make mistakes, to be in nature. Time to create ideas, and work on philosophies, to throw it all away and start again. To at times refuse to be filled up with ideas from the outside but to empty out entirely so that what needs to be channeled through has a beautiful vacuum in which to fill.

And yet, in the modern world, these creative people are usually in their spaces quietly doing their work. They’re not yelling about it on Instagram and peaking on productivity and selling us loud life hacking advice and tips and tricks. They’re in fact off doing their work and don’t have the space for that. And as we are impressionable little things, us humans can sometimes get swayed by the louder voices. And define our versions of success not by our wild, our creativity and our truths, but by affirming what the world tells us and the modern message has been a nauseating RISE AND GRIND. There is a great danger in this.

I ask of you to truly define your vision of success, and ask what will be included and what will be edited.

If you would like to be walked through a workshop with me on what that might look like, please join The DOJO this Saturday live, or anytime after that HERE. The theme of Editing is going to be taught in August within The DOJO and I would love to have you a part of it.

With love,
